Ladybug Acres - Soy Candles
My name is Katie and I am so glad you found me!  I’d like to tell you a little about this beautiful chaos, I call life. I was born in North Carolina and have called many places home over the years, but my favorite by far is Keedysville, MD.  This is where my husband and I decided to plant our roots and raise a family of our own on a beautiful farmette.

For the last 20 years I have worked in healthcare and it has always been a priority of mine to maintain a healthy emotional and mental balance through the difficult days.  My saving grace was always my creativity, it allowed me to relax my mind and let the stress wash away.

What started as a simple gesture; gifting handmade candles, has turned into a passion for me. I have had an incredible journey designing my own Soy Based Candle Line for Ladybug Acres.  My handmade candles are available online and at a few local shops (with more to come!).

With the encouragement and support from my friends and family I have built a company that allows me to express myself, build connections with the community and meet new friends. I am proud of where is adventure has taken me and can’t wait to see where we will land next...

Painted Pastures - Goat Milk Soaps/Lotions
A beautiful 12-acre farm in Smithsburg, MD that has become home to some uniquely charming animals since January 2020. It was given the name Painted Pastures because it so perfectly describes the place. Lori Anderson raises her goats for their rich milk which she then uses to make soaps, lotions, balms, sugar scrubs and bath bombs. These goat milk personal care products are naturally emollient, and the soaps come in a wide variety of colors and fragrances. All are great to give as gifts or for daily use in your home.
